The Flower aka Marc-André Fleury is retiring at the end of the 2024-25 season. Fleury wears number 29 and is an influence to other goalies. Marc-André Fleury has played on many teams. He was drafted to the Pittsburgh Penguins, then he was traded to the Las Vegas Golden Knights and was then traded to the Chicago Blackhawks, then to the Minnesota Wild, the team he is currently on now. As a Minnesota Wild, Marc André Fleury played his last game in Pittsburgh on October 29th. Marc played his last game in Vegas on January 12th. He played his last game versus Chicago on January 26th. Fleury got a standing ovation at the end of the Wild versus the Canadiens game, which was on January 30th. He also set the record for loudest standing ovation for an away goalie in Montreal. He also got 2 more standing ovations, one at his last game in Pittsburgh and one at his last game in Vegas. Marc-André Fleury is going to be missed next year and is in the top 3 goalies to get a shutout at 18 years-old and he’s the first goalie to get a shutout at 40 years-old.
