Carlo Ancelotti, the Manager for the CBF (Conferedecao de Futbol) had previously stated Neymar was NOT on the Brasil national team as of September of 2025. However, as of November 17th, Neymar might actually have a shot, but under some circumstances.
Before getting into that, we need to know what the World Cup is, and its prominence in the soccer-world. The event is crucial for soccer since it is all countries in the world fending off other countries in a round of 32, dwindling to 16, then 8, 4, then the finals of the most dominant countries. The best players in soccer will represent their home country on their national team, and Brazil’s lineup is capable, but Neymar is the last piece in the puzzle for Brazil to get their 6th star (win).
Back to what we were talking about with Neymar’s circumstances, the Brazilian star has to get into shape, hone his skills, become consistent in practice and productive on and off the field. It sure is a long journey to traverse for Neymar, but it isn’t impossible. People may ask: “Why is Neymar, arguably the best soccer player in the world at one point and maybe EVER, not being able to play in the World Cup?” Neymar had been in this predicament due to his lack of will to become greater in soccer, using his fame unfavorably and spending money unnecessarily. That along with his renowned history of getting injured, faking injuries and physical harm, lacking motivation and not trying in practices or in games, have greatly hindered or faltered his skill and image both reputation-wise and actual skill.
As of recently, Neymar has gotten the information that Ancelotti has given him a chance, and has now gotten the motivation and confidence to bring his game back and save his dying image, back to the limelight. His training is more consistent than ever before, and has been stated by multiple teammates and trainers that he has been training harder than ever in his career. With him on the team along with other prominent players, they have a really good shot at winning, it’s just up to him to decide the future of the World Cup.
