AI is starting to take over everything, and honestly, it’s a huge problem. It used to just be fun filters, but now it’s moving into every part of our lives way too fast. While some people think it’s cool, it is immensely taking over and it’s not okay. First, AI is replacing people’s careers like acting and singing. It isn’t just doing simple tasks anymore, it’s impersonating people and can make the media look so real. If we let “robots” take over the creative work, it takes away the need for human skill and makes it harder for people to find jobs in the future. The second problem is how most kids and teenagers are basically letting AI do all the thinking for them. Instead of actually learning how to write an essay or solve a math problem, a lot of people just pick up their phones, scan the work, and let AI spit out the answer. It’s like we’re not even using our brains anymore. We’re just addicted to scrolling and clicking. If we keep letting AI do all our work, we’re going to lose the ability to think. The third problem is where realistic fake photos and videos are now indistinguishable from the truth. With apps like Sora, anyone can generate convincing images or video clips of events that never happened. From fake political content, videos of people dancing thinking it’s funny, stealing jobs in the arts, to making us lazy in the classroom and blurring the lines of reality, the rapid rise of AI is doing more harm than good. While technology is supposed to move us forward, letting AI do our thinking and creating for us is actually a step backward. We need to decide now if we want a future shaped by human skill or one that is just a polished, digital fake.
